The Louisiana Gateway Port offers real estate opportunities for development on the west bank of the Mississippi River. These opportunities include waterfront properties, lots, and homes.

The port has issued a letter of intent to construct a $467 million state-of-the–art container terminal on the west bank of the Mississippi River in Plaquemines Parish from 2027-2029. The terminal is to begin operations in 2030 and expand in size through 2036. Additional growth and expansion efforts also help further the port’s impact within the region.
